This is the step where you create a Reading& account for each student. With this account, students can log in to the Reading& website/app, join classes, and read books.
If the student is already registered in the LMS, please start from Step 2. Move to Academy LMS.
If the student is new and will begin with the Academy service, please start from Step 1.
Coming soon: With the upcoming UI update, student accounts will also be able to be created directly from the new Academy LMS, making the process even simpler.
โต Go to Student Management โ Create Student Account in the LMS menu.
โถ Create the studentโs READING & account.
You may create accounts individually or in bulk.
If the student will be using the Academy service, do not assign a class in โ01. Class Assignment.โ
Parent information is optional. However, if you would like to send LAURA reports and share learning progress more easily, please enter it at this stage.
โต Click the โGo to READING & Academyโ button to move to the Academy-exclusive LMS page.
The Academy LMS is available only after signing a contract.If you still see a message saying โYou do not have access to the Academy pageโ even after your contract is complete, please contact 1566-2639 (ext. 2).
From this step forward, please proceed within the Reading& Academy LMS you accessed above.
โต In the Academy LMS, go to Assignment Management โ Import Students from LMS to bring in eligible students.
โป Students already assigned to classes in the standard LMS will not appear in this list. Please cancel their existing class assignment in the standard LMS before proceeding.
โถ Select the students you wish to assign to Academy (checkbox) and click โImport Selected Students.โ
Students registered in Academy will appear in the standard LMS under Student List โ Class Name: Academy.
If you click โUnregisterโ in Academy LMS, they will return to Assignment Pending in the standard LMS.
Once you complete Step 2. Assign Stage/Curriculum, the student cannot be moved back to the standard institutional LMS.If youโd like a student to try the Academy service while still using the institutional program, we recommend creating a new account.
Students can only access books after their stage assignment is complete.
โต After finishing Step 1, go to Assignment Management, check the box next to the studentโs ID, and click โNext Step โ.โ
โป Only select multiple students if their Stage/Level, Teacher, and Lesson schedule are identical.
โถ Choose the Stage (+Level), Teacher, and Lesson schedule.
โป Level selection does not affect the studentโs curriculum.
โท Select the Lesson start date, then click Apply.
โธ Once applied, the calendar will display the studentโs assigned lessons with a green box on each date.
โป You may adjust schedules by clicking a green box to remove a lesson and selecting another date.
โน After finishing all settings, click โConfirm Assignmentโ at the bottom.
Once this process is complete, students can log in to Reading& and begin reading books!
